Teams from the CSIC, the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and the Jiménez Díaz Foundation, in collaboration with researchers from the Complutense University of Madrid, Northwestern University in the United States, and Management Solutions, have successfully carried out a study that has revealed the incipient emergence of coronavirus variants with altered biological properties in COVID-19 patients, which has just been published by the prestigious journal PNAS
The success of the study, which involved professionals from Management Solutions' R&D Area, was based on the marked interdisciplinary nature of the research, which brought together a wide range of expertise ranging from medicine to structural biology and bioinformatics.
The study has just been published by the prestigious journal PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America), and other relevant research institutions – such as the CSIC (Spain’s State Agency for Scientific Research) or the Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa, have already echoed the publication.
