The iDanae (Intelligence, Data, Analytics and Strategy) Chair in Big Data and Analytics, created as part of the collaboration between the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and Management Solutions, held its 2nd Debate Tournament on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Decision Making
The tournament, aimed at students and researchers with no previous experience who are interested in learning about and debating the ethical, practical and social implications of the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, was structured in two classic academic debate sessions. In these sessions, teams had to defend both pro and con positions on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.
The tournament was held at the UPM Mining Engineering School in Madrid. The jury agreed to split the prize between the participating teams, as the caliber of the participants, the depth of the debate and the strength of the arguments and counter-arguments was so similar between the teams.
